Watch: Courtney Barnett plays ‘The Tonight Show’ with Jimmy Fallon

Melbourne’s Courtney Barnett has made her US network TV debut, performing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Barnett and her band – drummer Dave Mudie and bassist Bones Sloane – performed ‘Avant Gardener’ from her double EP A Sea of Split Peas, which is about to get a US release through New York label Mom + Pop (Sleigh Bells, Flume, Jagwar Ma). She also showed her hometown pride, repping merch for Melbourne garage three-piece Atolls.

The Fallon appearance comes off the back of Barnett’s Coachella debut last weekend. She’s also booked for Splendour In The Grass, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, and Osheaga Festival in Montreal.

UPDATE: The episode will air tonight (April 28) on ABC2.
