Urban, Dance and Jazz awarded at ARIAs

Following the announcement of ARIA awards for Dan Sultan, Parkway Drive and others earlier this week the awards in the Best Dance, Jazz and Urban categories has been revealed.

M-Phazes has won his first ever ARIA Award in the category in the Best Urban Album section with his Good Gracious record, with Yolanda Be Cool And D-Cup also stepping up to the podium for the first time taking out the ‘Best Dance Release’ category with their massive club hit/unavoidable sound that has been blaring from passing cars all year We No Speak Americano.

The third prize presented last night was the ‘Best Jazz Album’ which was awarded to jazz legend James Morrison and the a cappella ensemble The Idea of North for the Feels Like Spring album.

Tonight the awards for ‘Best Country Album’, ‘Best Adult Contemporary Album’, ‘Best Comedy Release’ And ‘Best Classical Album’ will be presented at a concert headlined by Sia and Sally Seltmann.
