Triple J unearth EES

The first band to be unearthed by triple j is Wagga Wagga hip hop act E.E.S. The hip hop crew made up of MC Kris-Bo and MC Shelly H have been a local fixture for the last four years, playing at pubs and clubs around the Riverina area.

Now E.E.S are set to unleash their hip hop stylings on the rest of Australia, with their first stop Newcastle’s Strikeback Festival on September 30 where they will share the stage with bands such as The Sleepy Jackson, Faker, Karnivool, The Hot Lies and more.

The Strikeback competition was open to all non-metropolitan NSW acts and the boys from Wagga Wagga caught the attention of triple j.Program Director, Chris Scaddan who had the following comment to make of E.E.S: “These guys are the real deal. Seriously smooth hip-hop flow. Highly recommended.”
