Tours in brief: Tim Rogers, Shihad, Last Dinosaurs
Tim Rogers has a new solo album, Rogers Sings Rogerstein, due out on Friday 24 August and a very extensive tour with special guest Catherine Britt that will take him almost everywhere (even Adelaide!) to celebrate the release.
It has been almost five years since Rogers’ last solo record The Luxury of Hysteria, but since then there have been two You Am I records and Rogers has kept busy collaborating with The Bamboos, Lil’ Band of Gold and making his stage debut in a production of Woyzeck.
The new album was written in collaboration with mysterious (imaginary?) Ohio native Shel Rogerstein, who Rogers apparently met on a train journey in Southern France and bonded with over a shared love of “tango, film, cheese, rock’n’roll, baseball and family”.
