Tobias Jesso Jr cancels Laneway Festival 2016, replacement announced

Tobias Jesso Jr has pulled out of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2016, and cancelled his two scheduled headline performances in Melbourne and Sydney.

Festival organisers cited “songwriting and recording obligations” as the reason for the last minute cancellation. “I’m sorry to let anyone down” Jesso said in a statement released this morning. “And appreciate all of your love, support, and understanding”. See the details for refunds to sideshows below.

The good news is that Sydney legends Royal Headache will be joining the 2016 Laneway Festival tour. The band’s comeback record High recently came in at #14 on FL’s Best Albums of the Year list. They join the lineup alongside Grimes, Purity Ring and Chvrches.

Laneway 2016 kicks off in Singapore on January 30 with the first Australian date happening in Adelaide on February 5.
