TLC announce first ever Australian tour

TLC have announced their first ever Australian tour.

Surviving members Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins will play shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth featuring a full band plus dancers and video projections of former member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez.

TLC formed in 1990 are the second best selling female group of all time behind the Spice Girls. Their debut record Ooooooohhh… On the TLC Tip shifted six million units while their 1994 classic CrazySexyCool – which included singles ‘Waterfalls’ and ‘Creep’ – was an even bigger success, spending two years on the Billboard Charts and eventually selling in excess of 10 million copies worldwide. Their third album Fan Mail was released in 1999 and featured the hit ‘No Scrubs’.

Left Eye was tragically killed in car accident in 2002 and although Chilli and T-Boz went on to complete and release a the 3D album they soon called it quits. The pair reformed for a series of concerts in Japan in 2009 and to marked the 20th anniversary of their anthem ‘Waterfalls’ last year by enlisting Japanese singer Namie Amuro to perform the Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ verse on a new version of the track. In 2013 TLC performed at the American Music Awards where they sang ‘Waterfalls’ with special guest Lil Mama who played Left Eye in the TV movie CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. They are reportedly working on a new album.
