Thundamentals catch baggage handler throwing their fragile gear

UPDATE 21/11:

Virgin Australia have provided the following statement to FL and advised that they’ve since been in contact with Thundamentals’ management:

We sincerely apologise to the Thundamentals for the mishandling of their luggage. Virgin Australia always endeavours to take care of our guests’ luggage and are investigating this particular incident. Virgin Australia is proud to support Australian musicians with a range of initiatives which includes the provision of an excess baggage allowance.

Hopefully Thundamentals sound OK when they take to the stage in Coffs Harbour supporting Hilltop Hoods tonight.

The hip-hop trio from The Blue Mountains – DJ Morgs, MC Jeswon and MC Tuka – have caught a baggage handler for Virgin Australia throwing their gear around despite the cases being clearly tagged with “fragile” labels. The band posted the footage on Facebook with the hashtags ”#thisguysucks” and ”#muzlyf” and forwarded the 13 second clip to the airline who have promised to look into the situation. Watch the clip below – mobile users can watch it here.

FL has reached out to Virgin Australia for comment and they will be providing us with an official statement in the next half hour. Check back for updates.

Following the show tonight in Coffs Harbour, Thundamentals will head to Brisbane, Hobart, Busselton and Perth as support on the Hilltop Hoods tour. Check out the tour dates here
