The 50 Best video clips of 2012, according to Rage

There’s no prize for guessing which Korean pop sensation has topped Rage’s countdown of the 50 best videos of 2012.

Rage received over 2000 new clips last year spanning every genre imaginable but inevitably the most popular clip of the year was PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’, which has clocked up well over 1 billion YouTube views since July 2012. Likely Hottest 100 chart-topper Of Monsters and Men’s ‘Little Talks’ was the second most popular clip ahead of videos by Gotye, Amanda Palmer and Missy Higgins.

Despite having just 495 fans on his Facebook page, 21-year-old Melbourne Michael Shanks’ Roadgeek project managed to come in at #13 on the Rage countdown beating more familiar names including Kanye West, Lana Del Rey, and Arcade Fire. His disturbing homemade clip for ‘On The Borderline’ has had over 250 000 views on YouTube.
