Teenage Time Killer is the latest supergroup to feature Dave Grohl

If you boiled down a Soundwave lineup, then stirred in a little extra testosterone and sweat you’d end up with something like the new supergroup Teenage Time Killer.

The upcoming record from the side-project for Mike Dean and Reed Mullin from North Carolina stoner rock crew Corrosion of Conformity will feature appearances from Dave Grohl, Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor, Dead Kennedys vocalist Jello Biafra, and Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe. Other black t-shirted rockers involved in the project include Keith Morris (Black Flag), Max Cavalera (Soulfly), Neil Fallon (Clutch), Lee Ving (Fear), ex-Queens Of The Stone Age/Kyuss bassist Nick Oliveri and members of The Misfits, Municipal Waste, Red Fang, Goatsnake, Brujeria, My Ruin, Prong, Articles Of Faith and SUNN O))).

During an interview with New York radio station WFMU, Mullin explained that Teenage Time Killer was originally intended to just be a four or five song project but quickly ballooned to 21 tracks. “We had all these other folks that want to participate,” Mullin says. “It’s a very good mixture of old hardcore punk, punk and metal stuff … People are going to be pleasantly surprised. It’s pretty cool.”

At this stage there’s no official tracklist or release date for the album, but Mullin has revealed that Teenage Time Killer brought in Biafra to sing comedian John Cleese’s poem ‘Ode to Hannity’, a “tribute” to Fox News blowhard Sean Hannity.
