Splendour In The Grass 2017: Which day has the best lineup?

Splendour In The Grass has finally announced its full list of artists, and the day-by-day lineup is now upon us. So, which day fares best, and which are you planning to sleep during most of? Let’s break it down.

The first official night is super diverse, with a headline set from the xx, before which HAIM, Vance Joy, RL Grime, Father John Misty and Tash Sultana lead the charge. Earlier in the day you’ll get the choice of rap (Lil Yachty), metal (Ocean Grove), pop (Maggie Rogers), folk (Julia Jacklin), and a dozen electronic acts, from the nostalgia-inducing Cut Copy to Cosmo’s Midnight and Young Franco.

Things get way heavier on the all-rock Saturday night, with a stacked bill courtesy of Queens of the Stone Age and Royal Blood, as well as Two Door Cinema Club, Paul Kelly, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Dune Rats among others. Earlier in the day, you’ll be treated to upcoming local talent with Confidence Man, Mallrat, Bad//Dreems, Slumberjack and Hockey Dad performing alongside throwback favourites like Bernard Fanning and Bag Raiders.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s the big day for dance and hip-hop fans, with LCD Soundsystem, Peking Duk, ScHoolboy Q, Bonobo and Stormzy gearing up to end the festival on a serious buzz. The Australian showcase continues too, with Pond, Client Liaison, A.B. Original, Amy Shark, Kirin J Callinan and The Murlocs, alongside cutting edge electronic acts including Moonbase, Planète, Christopher Port and Enschway.

Check out the full day-to-day lineups below.

Splendour in the Grass takes place this year from July 21 – 23 at the North Byron Parklands. Tickets go on sale at 9am AEST on Thursday 6 April through Moshtix.
