Robin Williams singing The Beatles will give you a reason to smile today

We all know about Robin Williams’ immense comedic talent – but the performer, who died from an apparent suicide earlier today, had some pretty awesome pipes as well. Back in 1998, he took part in a tribute album to Beatles producer George Martin, covering ‘Come Together’ with Bobby McFerrin. Titled In My Life, the compilation featured some unlikely covers of ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ by Goldie Hawn, ‘I Am The Walrus’ by Jim Carrey’ and a spoken-word take on ‘In My Life’ by Sean Connery. McFerrin and Williams had previously worked together on the clip to the singer’s crossover a cappella hit ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy’. In tribute to Williams, we’ve posted both clips below.
