Outkast adds another festival performance to reunion tour

The Outkast reunion is in full swing.

Following yesterday’s Coachella announcement, the Atlanta hip-hop duo have announced a second performance, headlining New York’s Governors Ball festival in June. A representative from the festival, which will run from June 6-8 at Randall’s Island Park, confirmed the news to Rolling Stone this morning.

It affirms a previous report by Billboard that the duo’s reunion at Coachella will be followed by “additional festival dates” in 2014. Time to start the Splendour rumour mill up again?

As previously reported, Big Boi and Andre 3000 will play again together for the first time since their 2007 hiatus at Coachella. Big Boi has since released two solo records Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty and Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, while Andre 3000 has been content to make movies, impersonate Jimi Hendrix and make occasional cameo appearances on Beyoncé, Frank Ocean and Drake tracks.

Other confirmed acts for Coachella include Arcade Fire, Muse, Broken Bells, Haim, Pharrell Williams, Foster The People, Queens Of The Stone Age, Pet Shop Boys, Beck, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Replacements and Chvrches. The Australian contingent features Preatures, Jagwar Ma, Empire Of The Sun and Flight Facilities.
