Following on from the news that triple j brekky team Matt and Alex were hanging up the headphones at the end of this year, today triple j has announced the full list of new presenters that will be leading the station in 2017.

First up, taking over the brekky slot is Ben Harvey, Liam Stapleton, and Brooke Boney. Ben and Liam will be known to Adelaide listeners due to their longstanding community radio presence, and journalist Brooke comes on board as current affairs extraordinaire.

They’ll have regular guests: gold medal Paralympian Dylan Alcott, as well as comedian Gen Fricker. Speaking of those two – they’ll also be hosting their own shows, with Alcott hosting weekend arvos, and Gen sitting in the chair weekdays at lunch.

Weekly show Roots ‘n All is also getting a makeover, with longtime host Sarah Howells departing to make way for Saskwatch singer Nkechi Anele.

This means that yes, Lewi McKirdy, Howells, and weekend presenter Kyran Wheatley will all be heading on to geener pastures at the end of the year. Don’t sweat: Zan and Veronica and Lewis are still sticking around.

The new lineup will get cracking on Monday January 9.
