Morrissey announces first Australian dates in a decade
Attention Morrissey fans: cheer up you miserable bastards your god is returning for a tour in December.
The former Smiths frontman, outspoken vegan and star of the world’s best tumblr of cat related artist promo shots, has announced his first Australian dates in a decade. The Moz was last seen in Australia on the lineup for the Livid festival way back in 2002, Morrissey has teased us with rumours of a return visits in 2005 and 2009 but this time he’s really coming.
Since that visit in 2002, Moz has kept his fans happily depressed with the release of three new albums – You Are the Quarry, Ringleader of the Tormentors and Years of Refusal – but he’ll also play a selection of Smiths tunes (and maybe even a Frankie Valli cover) in the set.
Support at all shows comes from American singer/songwriter Kristeen Young.
