Lollapalooza announces 2014 lineup, sells out in record time

Lollapalooza has revealed the full lineup for 2014 confirming that the festival will be headlined by Eminem, Skrillex, Kings of Leon and Arctic Monkeys.

The 10th Lollapalooza at Chicago’s Grant Park in August will also feature performances from headliners OutKast and Calvin Harris plus Lorde, Nas, Foster the People, Lykke Li, Interpol, Chromeo, Chvrches, Spoon, Broken Bells, Darkside, Childish Gambino, Chance the Rapper, Phosphorescent, London Grammar, Warpaint, Run the Jewels, and Blood Orange. Australian acts on the bill include Cut Copy, Flume, Courtney Barnett, The John Butler Trio, Iggy Azealia, Vance Joy, The Temper Trap, and Jagwar Ma.

If you like that lineup and haven’t already bought a ticket: bad luck the festival has already sold out. Three-day passes went on sale prior to the lineup announcement and sold out within an hour while single-day passes sold out in just two hours.

Lollapalooza is run by C3 Presents, the same group of promoters who present the Austin City Limits Music Festival and co-own the Big Day Out with AJ Maddah. “The Perry Farrell-founded Lollapalooza retains its huge brand awareness as well as an ability to seamlessly execute an event of remarkable size and scope,” reported Andrew Murfett from last year’s festival. “The headliners spanned a diverse range of demographics and genres. The setting, framed by Chicago’s architecturally stunning skyline, was nothing short of spectacular.”
