Little Red riding on
Garage to V winners Little Red have a busy few months ahead of them. Since scooping the competition to win a slot at all shows of the Australian V Festival, the five-piece are set to headline their own tour in Melbourne. They’ll also support Operator Please and The Panics as they promote their respective albums around the country.
The boyish “doo-wop punk” band, (they look barely old enough to be playing in licensed venues) have hit a corner market with their infectious old-fashioned rock and roll music. Since forming in 2005, Little Red has released the EP Get Ready, and the single Waiting, which has received regular air play on Triple J.
Performance slots at the Falls Festival, Meredith Music Festival, the Big Day Out and the Laneway Festival have done wonders in propelling their profile even further. It seems things couldn’t be any better for Little Red.
Catch them in Melbourne at Corner Hotel, Thursday 24 April. Tickets available from The Corner box office.
