Linkin Park: “we’re actually planning to return… maybe early next year”
Linkin Park haven’t been seen in Australia since December 2010, but it’s looking very likely that we’ll see them back on our shores early next year for Soundwave 2013.
Early last month the Triple M gang declared that Soundwave had “got” the band for the 2013 lineup and now the group’s leader Chester Bennington has confirmed that Linkin Park will be “announcing something pretty exciting [for Australia] in the upcoming weeks”.
During a Google+ Hangout session recorded last week (see below) Bennington was asked whether Linkin Park have any plans to return to Australia, and the singer revealed: “Yes we’re actually planning to return… maybe early next year. I’m pretty sure we’ll be announcing something pretty exciting in the upcoming weeks, if not a month or so. I can’t tell you what it is right now though.” Hmm… what ever could it be?
Since Linkin Park’s last visit the band has released the Living Things album, produced by longtime collaborator Rick Rubin and featuring the singles Burn It Down and Lost in the Echo.
