INXS reveal new lead singer

It has been revealed that Irish crooner Ciaran Gribbin will step up to fill the boots of the not-so-fortunate JD Fortune, as the new lead singer of INXS.

Only last week the band confirmed that Fortune had officially finished his time as their frontman, announcing that they would play their first gig with a new singer at World Sailing Championships in Perth.

Never heard of Gribbin? Well here is his illustrious CV: “Hailing from Belfast, Ireland, Ciaran Gribbin is a Grammy nominated singer/songwriter who has worked with a range of artists including Snow Patrol, Groove Armada, Paul McCartney, Madonna & Paul Oakenfold”

But wait there’s more! “In addition, as a film composer, Gribbin wrote, recorded and produced all the original music for the acclaimed international film Killing Bono, Philip Ridley’s award-winning UK film Heartless, as well as contributing music to films Wild Target (starring Emily Blunt) and Love and Suicide (the first U.S. film shot entirely on location in Cuba).”

Yet the question still remains – will Gibbons ever really be able to fill the shoes of this man?

Something to say?
