Insane Clown Posse is coming to Australia
Are you baffled by the science of magnets? A member of a loosely-organized hybrid gang? Or just like laughing at third-rate rappers wearing face-paint? Well you’ll be pleased to know that that Insane Clown Posse are heading to Australia this November.
Or so says Violent J – one half of the Detroit rap duo – who let the information slip while delivering a “seminar” at The Gathering of The Juggalos last month. During his 40-minute speech, in which ICP essentially just reel off every very single thing the band plan to do for the next 12 months, J announced the band’s return with his usual clown-like enthusiasm. “In November the Insane Clown Posse returns to Australia, which is awesome, because last time I went to Australia I got laid three times,” he said amid hollers and ‘whoop whoops’ from fans. “Of course I’m married now so that doesn’t matter, memories, memories…”
That last tour happened back in 2003 following the release of ICP’s eigth studio album The Wraith: Shangri-La , and saw the band playing the Roundhouse in Sydney, The Arena in Brisbane, HiFi in Melbourne, and Uni Bar in Adelaide.
Although ICP dropped the touring bombshell back in August the announcement has gone largely unoticed with Twitter user some_guy_hat drawing FL’s attention to it this afternoon. The news comes less than a day after Andrea Pellegrinifor, a former publicist and lawyer for the rap duo, announced she was suing the band’s record label Psychopathic Records. According to Huffington Post, Pellegrini alleges she was sexually harassed and asked to perform illegal acts, including buying Tommy Guns for a photo shoot.
