Groovin’ The Moo Bendigo has sold out

Victorians mooved so fast to snap up tickets to this year’s Groovin’ The Moo that the Bendigo event has officially sold out less than 48 hours after going on sale.

The regional festival – which makes stops in Maitland on April 27, Canberra on April 28, Bendigo on May 4, Townsville on May 5 and Bunburry on May 11 – announced its 2013 lineup last week. Headed up by nine international acts including The Bronx, Tegan and Sara and The Kooks, the bill also contains a strong local contingent with The Temper Trap, Tame Impala and Apline all confirmed to play.

If you happened to have missed out on tickets to the Bendigo event, you will also have a chance to catch a number of the bands at their own shows, with Tegan and Sara. The Bronx, The Kooks, They Might Be Giants and Matt and Kim all having announced sideshows this week.

Reviewing last year’s Maitland event FL said: “It’s easy to see why this festival has lasted where so many have failed in Australia’s busy festival market. The festival was well organised – with easy access to free water and sunscreen, staff and security were easy going and people seemed to be there for the music – it hasn’t turned into the fashion parade of some city festivals. Even the weather was working in its favour, although ice cold in the evening, the day was beautifully crisp and clear.”

Tickets to Maitland, Canberra, Townsville and Bunburry are still available and on sale now.
