Future Music Festival 2013 timetables
This weekend, Future Music Festival kicks off its 2013 tour. If you’ve got your ticket at the ready, you’ll already know that this year’s lineup is a massive one. The 2013 festival, which comes with a “Day of the Dead Set Awesome” theme, has certainly stuffed a lot into the piñata.
To cherrypick a few names? There’s The Prodigy in the headline spot, bringing their Warrior’s Dance Arena to Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Then, there’s the long-awaited return of The Stone Roses plus sets from Bloc Party, Azealia Banks, The Temper Trap, and Fun.
The Stone Roses provided a preview of the festival at their gig in Auckland last night with a “thrillingly nostalgic” 90-minute set. The band’s first ever show in New Zealand saw the recently reunited group playing in front of 10,000 fans at Vector Arena. The New Zealand Herald reports that there were no issues with Ian Brown’s notoriously fickle vocal cords with the cocky frontman leading the band through a setlist show including nearly everything from FL’s Top 10 Essential Stone Roses list.
So with the big day rapidly approaching, Future have released the all-important set times. Future kicks off in Brisbane this Saturday and moves onto Perth on Sunday, rolling onto the remaining cities next weekend.
