FL presents Grinspoon tour

Grinspoon will head out on a 19-date national tour in March 2013, presented by FL.

Already confirmed to play the Big Day Out alongside The Killers and Red Hot Chili Peppers next January, Phil, Pat, Joe and Kris will kick off their ‘Black Rabbits’ tour on March 13 in Brisbane. Across the course of two months the Grinners will traverse Australia’s major cities and regional centres, with gigs in Albury, Traralgon and Woombye.

Speaking with FL about the band’s new album Black Rabbits singer Phil Jamison said he was more than a little bit proud of his band’s new record, “Honestly I usually hate our records, but on this one we worked pretty hard on it and it is kind of the best we can do. [Laughs] In all honesty, I think Six To Midnight was really raw, I was really angry in that a record and Pat really wanted to make this more power-pop. We wanted to expand our skill-set a bit and get better at different stuff. We could write songs, like detuned riff-rock songs, we can do that and we have probably proved that over the last 17 years. We are trying to expand what we can do and be really song-y and proud of our songs.”

Support for the tour comes from Kingswood and Emperors.
