Eventopia have confirmed that they will be refunding your Soundwave tickets
Eventopia have finally confirmed that they will be refunding customers who had purchased tickets to the cancelled Soundwave 2016 festival.
The company had been disputing responsibility for the refunds claiming that no money could be returned to customers until the festival’s promoter AJ Maddah had returned the proceeds of the ticket sales. Eventopia issued Maddah with a letter of demand last Friday asking for the return of money they say should have been held in a trust account and left untouched until after the tour. They told fans that as soon as Maddah returned the money their refund process will immediately commence.
But Maddah has revealed on Twitter that the money was spent on advances to artists and advertising costs. He has claimed that those payments from the trust account with the full knowledge of Eventopia.
