Deftones, Hives announce Big Day Out 2014 sideshows
Big Day Out have announced another round of sideshows including headline dates for Blur replacements The Hives and Deftones, as well as two special performances by mysterious Swedish metal band Ghost.
Festival headliner Pearl Jam are exclusive to the Big Day Out, but Arcade Fire, The Lumineers, and Snoop Dogg (aka Snoop Lion) have all announced Big Day Out festival sideshows for 2014. There are also club dates for Major Lazer, Primus, Grouplove, CSS, Mac Miller, Toro y Moi, Portugal The Man, and The 1975.
Deftones last toured Australia in March, playing a well-considered selection of songs from their Adrenaline days right up to their most recent Koi No Yokan, with strong representation from Around the Fur and Diamond Eyes. They’ll play a solitary sideshow in Sydney.
