Carling’s Reading And Leeds Weekender Festival Ticket Frenzy Moves For Increased Capacity
Following the recent line up announcement for one of Britain’s most famous events, the Carling Weekender – which sees both the Reading and Leeds Festivals taking place at two different sites – tickets flew out of the door in record time for the three-day camping festival. The tickets were snapped up within one hour to this year’s festival, why so fast you ask?
Well where else would you be able to see the likes of: Franz Ferdinand, Pearl Jam, Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, Audioslave, The Raconteurs, Primal Scream, Arctic Monkeys, The Streets, Dirty Pretty Things, Maximo Park, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, The Futureheads, The Cribs, Placebo, My Chemical Romance, Feeder, Belle & Sebastian, The Subways, Wolfmother, The Kooks, The Rakes and Boy Kill Boy… all in the one place?!
The super-speed sell-out has moved organisers to push for a larger capacity for both sites this year. Festival director Melvin Benn is confident he will be granted permission to increase this year and hopes to have news on the Leeds site by the end of this month and on the Reading by mid-May.
