Bring Me The Horizon, Pierce The Veil sidewaves

British metalcore crew Bring Me The Horizon and Californian post-hardcore act Pierce The Veil will team up for a pair of Sidewave shows in Sydney and Melbourne in February.

BMTH were last in Australia in for Soundwave in 2011 and played sidewave dates with local heroes Amity Affliction. According to FL’s reviewer in Melbourne the band’s sideshow embodied “all the most likable things about genuinely heavy, heavy metal bands: the ability to not take themselves too seriously and avoid cliché by virtue of a tongue in cheek approach [and an] explosive, tight, impassioned sound.” The band’s new album Sempiternal is set to be released before they arrive on our shore so fans can expect to see plenty of new material on the setlists.

Pierce The Veil were also last seen in Australia in 2011, when they toured supporting Escape the Fate, and will return with a new record Collide With The Sky, which boasts a reinvented sound for the band. The new album also features a guest appearance by Kellin Quinn of fellow Soundwave 2013 tourists Sleeping With Sirens.
