Blood On The Dance Floor out of Soundwave 2013

US electro-punk act Blood On The Dance Floor is officially out of Soundwave 2013.

The news was announced on Twitter tonight by festival boss AJ Maddah, who gave no reason for the band’s sudden withdrawal, but urged punters to “rejoice in the news”. In addition to Soundwave, the duo of Dahvie Vanity and Jayy Von Monroe were scheduled to perform at The Wall in Sydney on February 26 and at Arrow On Swanston in Melbourne on February 28.

Blood On The Dance Floor are the third band to pull out of the festival, following Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti, who had double-booked another show, and New York-based deathcore crew Dr.Acula, who recently announced they were breaking up after eight years. Blood On The Dance Floor, meanwhile, have been too busy baking cookies to comment on their cancelled tour:

Soundwave will take place in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in March. All dates have sold out. Acts confirmed include Metallica, Linkin Park, Blink 182, A Perfect Circle, Paramore, Garbage and Slayer.
