11 best moments from Kanye West’s ‘Life of Pablo’ album launch

After months of teasers Kanye West has finally launched his new album, a video game and latest clothing line in the most Yeezy fashion possible.

During an event which was live streamed on Tidal and at select cinemas around the world, West played The Life of Pablo in its entirety from a laptop at the centre of New York’s Madison Square Garden. Surrounded by his #squad (feat. Pusha T, Vic Mensa and Kid Kudi) West danced, talked and admired his own handy-work. Throughout the course of the show we learned that the guestlist on Pablo includes Frank Ocean, Chance the Rapper, Rihanna, Future, Kirk Franklin, Post Malone, Ty Dolla $ign, Young Thug, The-Dream, Kid Cudi, and more.

Amid all the music there was some particularly Yeezy moments. Here are some of the best.

1. The Kardashian clan – including North, Lamar Odom and Caitlyn Jenner – enter the stadium to rapturous applause. Dressed head-to-toe in all white Balmain they take a seat next to Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

2. Yeezy arrives, surrounded by his dream #squad and just starts playing Pablo off a laptop in the middle of the arena. 2016 just got real.

3. The mysterious mountains of cloth in the middle of the arena are lifted to reveal West’s latest clothing line. Models include Naomi Campbell and Young Thug.

4. Thug didn’t look so happy to be there.

5. But then he was probably just following the rules.

6. Unlike Naomi Campbell who did whatever she damn well pleased

7. We have officially climbed the summit and are standing atop Peak Yeezy.

8. Once the album has ended Kanye thanks Adidas (much to the amusement of his squad) and the crowd start chanting “Fuck Nike”. Then this happens. Coincidence?

9. Kanye decides to spread the love and invites his #squad to plug in their iPods. We hear tracks from Young Thug and Vic Mensa. At this point the world is just watching Kanye party.

11. In the most earnest move of his career so far, Kanye then announces that he is working on a video game called ‘Only One’ about his mother ascending into heaven on the back of a flying horse. He plays the teaser twice.
